Dear Sir, I had booked a Emilia floor in Vatika India Next Project through XXX Consultant. At the time of booking in Jan.2010, I was offered X discount by the said broker and credit note to this effect was also received from the broker. But till date even after 18 months, and 35% of the total cost of the flat deposited by me, the broker is not releasing the discount amount. He is claiming that Vatika has not released his commission and also not accepting his bill. On the other hand, CRM dept. of Vatika insists that they are periodically releasing commission to their brokers. What I should do now to get my money? Should I approach Consumer Forum against the broker? please guide

Reply: Discounts are a tricky thing. it refers to someone else in profession so it is inappropriate to comment on someone else. Most developers are bad pay masters when it comes to releasing commissions. Best way to settle discounts if they can adjust in unit basic cost. check with company if they can do same, and then take appropriate letter from your dealer.

I had already asked Vatika whether discount can be adjusted in the next demand but did not get any positive response. Vatika CRM head was of the opinion that it is between customer and the broker. I have credit note with me and copy of the same was already sent to Vatika.

because of trade ethics we do not want to get into issues related to individual brokers. That way it will be endless. If there is a developer policy where something is wrong, we still entertain it
