The district administration of Faridabad has sent a report to state headquarters seeking conservation of Mangar and other adjoining areas which should be excluded from real estate zoning. Mangar and adjoining areas, being a forest area, are major water recharge zones and have ample green cover. The district administration is hopeful that the apex committee constituted by state government would look into these issues. It is noteworthy to mention here that leading real estate developer IREO reportedly has some land bank around this region and is planning a luxury condominium project.
